From idea to working product
Capture the moment. Share the reveal.

The idea
Wedding guests notice moments the couple might miss. I created Spotted to turn those perspectives into a shared experience: scan a QR, capture a moment and discover everyone's photos after the reveal.

My role
I shaped the concept, information architecture and visual design, then directed AI-assisted development to turn the idea into a working web product.
Designing participation
One entry action, “Start Spotting,” keeps onboarding focused. Photo prompts give guests something to notice, while visible shot limits make progress clear. The same categories organize the gallery, connecting capture with discovery.

Making the details work
The camera prioritizes the viewfinder and shutter. I refined the flash to activate during capture and aligned the preview with its frame. Clear upload feedback and permission states help people understand what happens next.
Designing anticipation
The delayed reveal brings everyone back to a shared collection. That choice trades immediate access for anticipation, so the waiting state needs to explain when photos become available.

Giving organizers control
The dashboard brings together invitations, reveal timing and photo review. I simplified competing gallery actions into “Review photos” and clarified bulk controls with “Select all” and “Clear all.”

Outcome
Spotted connects guest capture and organizer control in a working web product. Building it let me test interactions beyond static screens and refine the experience as a whole.
